What We Store (And Where)
Your Job Search Data
JobDash stores everything you add to help you track your applications:
- Job applications (company, role, status, dates, notes)
- Your resumes (stored locally on your computer)
- Networking contacts (names, companies, LinkedIn profiles)
- Your preferences and settings
Important: All of this stays on your computer. We don't upload it anywhere.
Where It Lives
- On Your Device: Everything is stored locally using Chrome's secure storage
- No Cloud Sync: Your data doesn't go to our servers or any cloud service
- No Account Needed: Use JobDash completely offline - no sign-up required
How We Use Your Data
We only use your data to make JobDash work better for you:
- Show your applications in the dashboard
- Track your progress and stats
- Send you reminders for follow-ups
- Help you manage your resumes and contacts
That's it. We don't use it for anything else.
We Don't Share Your Data
Simple answer: We never share your personal data.
Your job applications, resumes, and contacts are yours alone. We don't:
- Share your data with third parties
- Sell your information to advertisers
- Use your data for marketing
Optional Analytics: If you choose to help us improve JobDash, we collect anonymous usage data (like "feature X was used 100 times"). This helps us make JobDash better, but it's completely optional and you can turn it off anytime in settings. We never collect personal information like your name, email, or job details.
You're in Control
Your data, your rules. Here's what you can do:
- Export Everything: Download all your data as a CSV file anytime
- Delete Anything: Remove individual applications, contacts, or resumes whenever you want
- Opt Out of Analytics: Turn off anonymous usage tracking in settings
- Start Fresh: Uninstall JobDash and all your data is gone (it's all local)
No questions asked. No hoops to jump through. It's your data.
